We appreciate that our clients are busy people, so AgBuild will make the process as quick and painless as possible.
We’ve set out answers to some of the questions we’re most commonly asked, but if you’d like to chat with us about an idea you have, please get in touch
Q: Do we need to hire a draughtsman or architect?
No. Plans are included in the price and we will get these to you within 15 working days of acceptance of the quote/payment of the deposit.
Q: Do we need building consent and how do we apply?
We will prepare and submit the building consent application on your behalf, at no extra cost.
Q: What about boundaries and setbacks?
We will ensure that your plan complies with local rules about boundaries and setbacks and can advise you of this when we visit your site. In the meantime, click here to view the Waipa District Council Rural Zone Building Guidelines.
Q: Will this be a lot of work for me?
No. Our Complete Care Promise means you’ll deal directly with the owners of AgBuild on everything from pricing through to completion and we will efficiently project manage the entire build for you.
Q: Is AgBuild a reputable company?
Absolutely. We are Licensed Building Professionals, qualified in residential building and members of Site Safe. We’re fully insured and have been in business since 2011. Our buildings are guaranteed and many of our clients are repeat customers, something we’re really proud of.
Q: Kit-set or custom-build?
The choice is yours. We can offer you a range of kit-set options, or design a bespoke building that’s exactly right for you. We’ll meet with you to discuss your needs and assess your site before giving you advice and some suitable options to consider.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
AgBuild will provide you with a completely transparent quotation. Any increase in price will only occur if changes are made to the scope of work after the quotation has been accepted. Because we don’t subcontract, all costs are listed on our quote. Some other building companies may exclude items that will be subcontracted.
Q: What makes AgBuild different?

Q: Can we see your work?
A: Of course - we’d love to show you some of our previous builds. We’re very proud of our work and have excellent relationships with our clients, many of whom are happy to accommodate site visits, by arrangement.
